AquaTerra Sees Record North Sea Demand for Decommissioning and Maintenance Services

AquaTerra Group is experiencing unprecedented demand for its offshore services in the North Sea, spurred by a surge in late-life asset management, decommissioning, and inspection, repair, and maintenance (IRM) initiatives.
The Aberdeenshire-headquartered firm revealed it is managing its highest volume of concurrent projects to date, with upwards of 150 offshore personnel deployed and more than 200 equipment packages currently in active service.
The company’s ongoing portfolio features support for multiple North Sea decommissioning campaigns, marine integrity agreements, and late-life IRM operations. AquaTerra is collaborating with a diverse client base that includes operators, Tier One contractors, heavy-lift specialists, and engineering firms throughout the sector.
This growth is reflected in the rising need for specialized offerings, such as underdeck access solutions, rope access, fabric maintenance, conventional and advanced non-destructive testing (NDT), and skilled offshore staffing.
