At African Energy Week (AEW) 2026, the Liberia Petroleum Regulatory Authority (LPRA) is encouraging technical partners, international energy firms, and prospective investors to explore the country’s 2026 Offshore Direct Negotiation Licensing Round. Attendees can meet directly with regulatory officials to evaluate 16 available offshore blocks situated in the Harper and Liberia basins.
The presentation is scheduled for October 14 at 11:00 AM in the Orchid Meeting Pod at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC). Heading the delegation, LPRA Director General Marilyn T. Logan will detail the commercial conditions, available acreage, and technical data, offering a venue for direct discussions regarding block acquisitions and strategic partnerships.
Covering deepwater and ultra-deepwater zones, the offering includes 33 total blocks backed by comprehensive geological assessments, featuring over 31,000 square kilometers of 3D seismic coverage and more than 50,000 line-kilometers of 2D seismic data. Momentum in the region follows eight production sharing agreements secured past year with Atlas Oranto Petroleum and TotalEnergies, underlining sustained global interest in the nation’s energy potential.
AEW 2026 serves as a global gathering for financiers, government leaders, technology providers, and operators. Energy companies keen on entering Liberia’s offshore market are urged to join the October 14 session to initiate discussions with the LPRA and explore potential ventures.
