Equinor prolongs Deepsea Atlantic drilling contract through late 2027
Equinor has exercised options for two additional wells for Odfjell Drilling’s Deepsea Atlantic, extending the rig’s firm contract into late Q4 2027, with options for two more wells remaining.

Equinor Energy AS has declared options for two extra wells using Odfjell Drilling’s semisubmersible rig, the Deepsea Atlantic, pushing its committed contract through the end of the fourth quarter of 2027.
These additional wells are scheduled to be drilled right after the rig finishes its existing work, utilizing the day rates set in the initial contract. Equinor still holds options for two more wells at pre-agreed prices.
