Energy Transfer announced on Tuesday that it has reached an agreement to purchase Vaquero Midstream in a transaction valued at approximately $2.63 billion. The acquisition, which consists of both cash and stock, is designed to bolster the company’s midstream presence.
The transaction structure involves $1.95 billion in cash alongside roughly 33.3 million newly issued common shares of Energy Transfer.
According to the company, the acquired assets integrate directly with its current natural gas and natural gas liquids network. This integration is projected to boost throughput across Energy Transfer’s transportation, fractionation, storage, and export operations.
The acquisition is projected to be completed during the fourth quarter of the year.
