**Sapphire Gas Solutions Acquires EDGE LNG to Expand Distributed Natural Gas Operations**
Sapphire Gas Solutions has finalized the acquisition of EDGE LNG from affiliates of Blue Water Energy. The transaction integrates approximately 200,000 gallons per day of LNG liquefaction capacity into Sapphire’s existing operations.
Based in Texas, EDGE specializes in LNG liquefaction, delivery, and vaporization utilizing mobile, modular equipment. Its liquefaction assets currently support customers throughout the southern United States, enhancing Sapphire’s capacity to oversee the entire LNG supply chain from production to final delivery.
EDGE’s skid-mounted, modular facilities can be quickly deployed and scaled to meet demand, particularly in regions lacking traditional natural gas infrastructure.
“This acquisition progresses Sapphire’s strategy to be a fully integrated LNG supplier for our customers,” said Sam Thigpen, CEO of Sapphire Gas Solutions. “By controlling the supply chain from production through delivery, we can provide true vertical integration and a more complete, unified service.”
According to Sapphire, the acquisition establishes production assets in two strategic regions, which will link directly with the company’s established LNG distribution network.
This transaction follows Sapphire’s recent strategic partnership with Antin Infrastructure Partners, a private equity firm focused on infrastructure. The financial details of the acquisition have not been disclosed.
