Eni has officially advanced the Cronos gas field in Cyprus’s offshore Block 6 into its execution phase after securing major engineering, procurement, construction, and drilling agreements. The transition was commemorated on October 26 during an event in Nicosia with President Nikos Christodoulides and Energy Minister Michael Damianos.
While the specific service providers remain undisclosed, the newly awarded contracts encompass drilling rig services, a floating control unit, subsea production systems, flexible risers, umbilicals, offshore sealines, transport and installation operations, as well as an EPC agreement for an onshore pipeline. These deals follow the project’s final investment decision reached on July 28.
