TotalEnergies has officially finalized the transfer of its 10% stake in the Arctic LNG 2 project to NordLine, a subsidiary of Novatek, marking the complete end of its ownership.
The divestment had been previously announced during the company’s second-quarter 2026 financial results. Following the completion of this transaction, TotalEnergies holds no remaining equity in the project.
Despite the exit, TotalEnergies maintains its right to be reimbursed by Arctic LNG 2 for approximately $1.3 billion in outstanding shareholder loans it previously provided. The company noted that any future repayments of these loans would be subject to compliance with current and future international sanctions.
