**Horizon Petroleum Ltd. Announces Successful Testing at Lachowice-7 Well, Targets First Gas Production by Q3 2027**
**CALGARY, AB** – Horizon Petroleum Ltd. (“Horizon” or the “Company”) has finished the main flow testing segment for its Lachowice-7 (“L7”) well, situated in the Bielsko-Biala concession in southern Poland. Operations were conducted via Horizon’s wholly owned Polish subsidiary, Energia Karpaty Zachodnie sp. z o.o. (“EKZ”).
The well is currently shut in for a mandatory 30-day pressure build-up analysis. Upon completion, the Company intends to finalize its commercial strategy for initial field production.
### Operational Highlights & Test Results
Following a nitrified acid stimulation on September 23, 2026, and mechanical workover operations, the well underwent flow testing through temporary surface facilities. High formation permeability and natural fracturing were indicated early in the process, as approximately 4,500 barrels of completion fluid were absorbed into the reservoir.
Coiled tubing and nitrogen were used to unload the well. The testing program yielded the following metrics:
* **Initial Cleanup Flow Period (30 Hours):** Reached a peak rate of 4.95 million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d) on a 24/64-inch choke, with flowing wellhead pressure (FWHP) at 2,100 psi.
* **Pre-Main-Flow Test (8 Hours):** Recorded a short-term peak flow rate of 6.75 MMcf/d at an FWHP of 2,362 psi on a 24/64-inch choke.
* **Main Flow Test (6 Days):** Conducted on a restricted 18/64-inch choke. Gas rates began at 5.0 MMcf/d (2,550 psi FWHP) and settled at 2.5 MMcf/d (1,900 psi FWHP), representing an average surface pressure drawdown of 25%. These figures align with Horizon’s pre-test reservoir models.
Over the full testing sequence, the L7 well produced a total of:
* **26.5 MMcf** of natural gas
* **170 barrels** of condensate
* **1,680 barrels** of load fluid (representing a ~37% recovery rate of the lost completion fluid)
Declining fluid recovery rates over the course of the test suggest that the remainder of the load fluid will likely stay within the formation.
### Road to Commercialization
Horizon is moving to accelerate an Early Production Phase targeted for the third quarter of 2027. The initial strategy focuses on generating power for regional sales and exploring compressed natural gas (CNG) opportunities ahead of a broader, full-scale field development.
“The successful completion of the production flow testing represents a further significant operational milestone for Horizon,” said Dr. David Winter, CEO of Horizon Petroleum. “We have accelerated plans to commence first production and cashflow through an Early Production Phase targeting the third quarter of 2027, establishing power generation and potential CNG sales subject to technical, commercial, and regulatory steps.”
Data gathered from the ongoing 30-day pressure build-up period will be evaluated to optimize facility design, refine deliverability estimates, and guide future development drilling.
